Furthermore, we had some external talks, Dr. Gaik Sui Kee (industrial career), and Prof. Lennart Hilbert (academic career) giving us insight on the highs and lows of a scientific career including many of the common pitfalls.

We are sportsmen!
On Friday afternoon we had a beautiful hike around Gengenbach and the surrounding hills.

And on Saturday, before breakfast, some of us gathered for an early-morning match of beach volleyball at river Kinzig.

…and, yes, with the hot temperatures (around 34°C!) we did need some rest and relax after all these activities… - down on the banks of the river Kinzig.
