These are the friends of BIF-IGS:

BIF-IGS cooperates intensively with other Graduate Schools.

HIDSS4Health: Helmholtz Information & Data Science School for Health

HIDSS4Health offers a structured doctoral training program embedded in a highly interdisciplinary research environment, bringing together experts from the data and life sciences.

IHRS BioSoft (FZ Jülich):
International Helmholtz Research School of Biophysics and Soft Matter

The International Helmholtz Research School of Biophysics and Soft Matter (IHRS BioSoft) provides excellent research opportunities for PhD projects. The aim of our complementary research training is to offer a curriculum at the interfaces between biology, chemistry, and physics.

KSQM: KIT Graduate School of Quantum Matter

KSQM provides a multidisciplinary environment for education to foster research and innovation for quantum technologies.

HEiKA Graduate School on Functional Materials:

The HEiKA Graduate School on “Functional Materials” is a central structural element of the Cluster of Excellence “3D Matter made to Order (3DMM2O)”

KSOP: Karlsruhe School for Optics & Photonics

The Karlsruhe School of Optics & Photonics (KSOP), Graduate School at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, provides both multidisciplinary Master and Doctorate Programs in Optics & Photonics taught in English.

GRK 2450: Tailored Scale-Bridging Approaches to Computational Nanoscience

Many interesting research problems, integrate a broad range of time-scales and being recursive in nature, i.e. events on a longer time scale determine structure and function on a short time-scale. In this RTG we want to systematically investigate problems, which are not addressable by standard tools from the quantum chemistry toolbox such as conformationally gated biochemical reactions in proteins.

KHYS: Karlsruhe House of Young Scientists

The Karlsruhe House of Young Scientists (KHYS) is the central institution for the promotion of junior researchers at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).
